For the record no one has done more that @VBucknor of @wiswinorguk to stop the proposed mega incinerator for Wisbech. She’s campaigned, organised and mobilised a small army of supporters. With Virginia’s efforts and those of @SteveBarclay I don’t fancy the chances of it happening

The latest update as at Tuesday 24 May:(1) we’ve had yet another deferment from MVV (I think this is number 6). The Planning Inspectorate have said the application is now scheduled for late June.(2) Norfolk County Council have also written to MVV and the Secretary of State advising of their objection to the proposal.(3) I have passed to both FDC and CCC the responses from seven Parish Councils regarding the so-called consultation MVV undertook (during Covid).(4) I asked our MP, Steve Barclay, several weeks ago, for the team to have a meeting with him so we could liaise. Apparently he no longer has surgeries (!), but I’m STILL awaiting a reply. ... See MoreSee Less
